Training Planner Guide

This guide outlines how to use the Planner feature under the Upskilling section. It allows you to create and manage training plans for different departments and track their status.


πŸ“ Accessing the Planner​

Navigate to:
Upskilling > Planner Planner View Here you will see:

  • dashboard of existing planners categorized as Published, Drafts, or All

  • Create Planner button to initiate a new training plan

  • Select Planner Card to edit training plan Planner Edit

  • Select Planner Card delete training plan Planner delete

  • Click on Card to view/edit/copy/delete training plan Activity Details

  • Click on + to add activity for training plan

  • Click on Save To Draft or Published to reflect Changes

🧾 Planner Status Cards​

Each planner is displayed as a card showing:

  • The Planner Title
  • Any Remarks
  • Status (Draft or Published)
  • Color-coded borders for quick identification:
    • 🟒 Green: Published
    • 🟑 Yellow: Draft

βž• Create a Training Planner​

Click the "Create Planner" button to open the planner creation form.

Step 1: Basic Information​

  • Training Planner Name – Enter a name for the planner (e.g., β€œPhase One Training – Induction”)
  • Remarks – Optional notes or internal comments (e.g., β€œIncludes onboarding materials”)

Step 2: Department Selection​

  • Departments – Select one or more departments to assign the planner to
  • ℹ️ Note: This planner will only apply to candidates within the selected departments for the specified training period _ After Succesfull creation,it will reflect on card view

Use the tabs at the top to toggle between:

  • Published – View only active planners
  • Drafts – View planners that are still in progress
  • All – View all planners regardless of status

Regular Users:​

  • Can create, edit, and view planners assigned to them
  • Can only assign planners to departments they have access to

Admins:​

  • Have full visibility and control
  • Can publish, edit, or delete any planner

🧠 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)​

1. Can I edit a planner after publishing it?
Yes, you can click on the planner card to edit details or activities, even if it’s published. After editing, click Save to Draft or Publish again to reflect changes.
2. What’s the difference between Draft and Published status?
- Draft: The planner is still being built and is not visible for execution. - Published: The planner is finalized and active for the assigned departments.
3. Can I copy an existing planner?
Yes. Click on an existing planner card and use the Copy icon to duplicate it. This is useful when creating similar planners across departments or timelines.
4. Who can delete a planner?
Only the planner creator or an Admin can delete a planner. A confirmation prompt appears to avoid accidental deletion.
5. What happens when I delete a planner?
The planner and its activities are permanently removed. It will no longer be visible in the system.
6. Can I assign one planner to multiple departments?
Yes, during the creation or editing process, you can select multiple departments to apply the training planner to.
7. What are planner activities?
Activities are individual training components under a planner (e.g., β€œOrientation Session,” β€œTool Training”). You can add, edit, or delete these for each planner.
8. Can I preview the planner before publishing?
There is no preview mode, but saving it as a Draft allows you to review the setup before making it live.
9. How can I filter planners by department?
Use the Department Filter at the top of the screen to narrow down planners assigned to specific departments.
10. Can users see planners from other departments?
No. Users can only view planners related to the departments they have access to. Admins, however, can view and manage all planners.
