Notifications Guide

The Notifications module helps you stay updated on important activities across the platform—like attendance, meetings, tasks, and HR policies—via multiple channels such as SMS, Phone, WhatsApp, Email, and Web Push.

  • Keep users informed through multi-channel alerts
  • Let users customize which alerts they want to receive
  • Allow temporary muting of all notifications when needed

  1. Click the 🔔 Notifications icon from the top-right navigation bar.
  2. Then click on the ⚙️ Settings icon to open Notification Settings.

🛠️ Notification Settings

The Settings page allows you to manage notification preferences across four major categories:

Each of these can be enabled/disabled independently through the following channels:

  1. Go to Notifications Settings
  2. Locate the Quick Settings panel
  3. Toggle on Attendance for WhatsApp, Email, and Web Push
  4. Toggle off Phone and SMS
  5. Under Mute All, choose Mute for 30 min if you’re in a meeting
  6. Click on the Settings tab to see all categories and confirm your preferences

2. Which channels can I receive notifications through?
Notifications are available across: - SMS - Phone Call - WhatsApp - Email - Web Push Notifications
3. How do I mute all notifications temporarily?
In the Quick Settings panel, use the "Mute All" option. You can mute for 15, 30, or 60 minutes as needed.
4. Can I mute only a specific category like Meetings?
Yes. You can toggle off notifications per category, e.g., disable all notifications for Meetings while keeping Task or Attendance enabled.
5. Do my changes apply instantly?
Yes, any toggle or mute action is applied in real-time, and preferences are saved instantly.
6. What happens when I mute notifications for 30 minutes?
You will not receive any notifications across any channel for the next 30 minutes, unless you manually unmute them.
7. Will I still receive emails if I mute notifications?
No. Muting affects all selected channels, including email. To mute only some channels, toggle them off manually.
8. What if I don't see Web Push notifications?
Ensure that: - You have allowed notifications from your browser - You're not using incognito/private mode - Your browser isn’t blocking pop-ups or site notifications
9. Can Admins control my notification settings?
No, each user manages their own personal notification preferences.
10. Is there a mobile app to receive push notifications?
If your organization uses the mobile app version of the platform, push notifications may be available via the app as well. Check with your system administrator.
